⚡ What Corpse Scarab does

The wiki's ability text: Occasionally consumes a fruit (Ignores favorited) with a chance to apply the Sandy or Pestilent mutation! The wiki's ability data fills in the numbers: every 7 minutes at base weight the Apshait eats a fruit in your garden (favorited fruit are safe) and there is a 10% chance that a Sandy or Pestilent mutation is applied.

Both are small multipliers: Sandy is ×3 and Pestilent is ×8. The text doesn't say whether the mutation lands on the fruit it ate (which is gone) or on another fruit, nor how it picks between the two mutations. Since the fruit is consumed every cycle whether or not the roll succeeds, the cost is one unfavorited fruit every 7 minutes, so favorite anything you want to keep.

From the wiki's ability data (a base value, a step per kg and a cap). Pet mutations add more on top; the pet mutations list has them.

Each kilogram takes 6 seconds off the cooldown, which bottoms out at 3 minutes 30 seconds once the pet reaches 35 kg. The chance keeps rising until 100 kg, where it doubles to 20%. Your pet's kg depends on its hatch weight and age; the pet KG calculator works it out.

🥚 How to get it

The Robux-only Premium Anubis Egg gives it 54%. A Sepulchral Apshait is the 49% result of the Sepulchral Premium Anubis Egg, the 1% bonus egg inside the Premium Anubis Egg; the wiki lists no ability change for the variant.
