🧬 Grow a Garden Pet Mutations
Every pet mutation in Grow a Garden — 62 in all — with Mutation Machine odds, what each one does, its pet sell multiplier and how to get it. Pet mutations are different from crop mutations: they give the pet a permanent passive instead of multiplying a fruit's price.
Last verified against the Pet Mutations page on the Grow a Garden wiki. Some older guides list smaller XP boosts for Shiny (+15%) and Inverted (+30%) and slightly different machine odds; the numbers below are the wiki's current ones.
⚙️ How pet mutations work
- Mutation Machine: next to the Egg Shop. It takes a pet that is age 50+, costs 500,000,000 Sheckles, and takes 1 hour (skip for 49 Robux). The pet comes back reset to age 1; the Golem pet and the Mutation Machine Booster speed it up. You can't cancel once it starts.
- One mutation at a time: mutations don't stack. Putting a mutated pet back in overwrites its mutation.
- Other sources: Golden Acorns, Pet Mutation Shards, and pets like the Headless Horseman, Ice Golem, Peryton and Haunted Knight can also give mutations.
- Leveling back up: since the machine resets age, check how much XP it costs to get back to age 50 with the age calculator.
