💧 The Decay Mechanic Explained
Decay is the biggest gameplay difference between GAG1 and GAG2. Every fruit has a "freshness timer" — the longer you leave it before selling, the more value it loses.

💡 Pro tip: Getting a mutation on a decayed fruit fully resets it to Fresh even if it still looks brown/wilted. So if you have a decayed Dragon's Breath, wait for a mutation before selling.
🐾 Grow a Garden 2 Pets
GAG2 has an entirely separate pet inventory from GAG1. All pets hatch fresh from GAG2 eggs — no transfers. New pet mechanics include Weight Chance (probability distribution of hatched weight) and Possible Weights (min/max range per pet).

🛒 GAG2 Shop Stock
GAG2 uses a modified stock system. Seed Shop still restocks every 5 minutes, but with the addition of Fruit Price Stock (a global multiplier that fluctuates 0.5×-2×). Timing your sells matters more than in GAG1.

What is Grow a Garden 2?
Grow a Garden 2 (GAG2) is the sequel to the popular Roblox game Grow a Garden. It's a release-tracker version with new plants, new mutations, new pets, and the game-changing Decay mechanic. Both games run separately with separate save files.
How does decay work in GAG2?
Fruit loses value over time: Fresh (0-40% loss), Decayed (45-80% loss), Rotten (85-95% loss). Reset with 1-3 Watering Cans OR by triggering any mutation on the fruit. Mutations reset decay to Fresh even if fruit looks wilted.
Do my GAG1 pets and Sheckles carry over to GAG2?
No — GAG2 has separate save data. Pets, Sheckles, and inventory don't transfer. You start fresh.
What is Fruit Price Stock?
A global multiplier (0.5× to 2.0×) affecting all sell prices. It fluctuates based on server-wide harvest activity. When many players are harvesting, price drops. When few are, price rises. Time your sells for maximum Sheckles.
What is Double or Nothing?
A new GAG2 sell option. Choose "Double or Nothing" instead of normal sell — 50% chance to 2× your Sheckles, 50% chance to sell for 0. Only worth using on lower-value fruits or if you're feeling lucky.
What is Daily Deal?
A limited-time offer that appears daily — sells a specific fruit type for 2.2× normal value. Save your rarest fruits for Daily Deal windows to maximize profit.
What are the highest-value plants in GAG2?
Super tier: Dragon's Breath, Hypno Bloom, Moon Bloom. These have the highest base values. Dragon's Breath at 7.19kg with default mutation sells for ~$3,068. With Rainbow + Aurora stack it can exceed $500,000.

Is Grow a Garden 2 better than Grow a Garden 1?
