Hieroglyphic is the ×3 mutation of the Anubis Event, applied by the hourly Anubis Sandstorm and by the Anubis Bramble crop. Its multiplier is small; its point is that fruit sold with it pays out Anubis Coins, the event currency.

- Applied by the Anubis Bramble crop to a random nearby fruit every 10 minutes.

🏺 Why Hieroglyphic matters
At ×3 it adds little to a sale on its own. What makes it the centre of the event is that, per the wiki's Anubis Coin page, Anubis Coins are obtained by selling Hieroglyphic-mutated plants, and those coins buy everything in the Anubis Coin Shop, from the 60-coin Wraproot seed to the 13,500-coin Hiero Scorpion. So the more fruit you get Hieroglyphic onto each hour, the faster the shop opens up.
Three things on the wiki raise your Hieroglyphic count. The Anubis Bramble applies it to a nearby fruit every 10 minutes, and has a 2.5% chance to add Blackout (×95) to a Hieroglyphic fruit as well. The Hieroglyphic Staff gear grants extra Hieroglyphic fruit per sandstorm. And the Uraeus pet gives each Hieroglyphic the weather applies a 4% to 8% chance to be copied onto another fruit, up to three times per weather. The Hieroglyphic Radar then collects every Hieroglyphic fruit in a bubble around you, so selling is quick.
The wiki's Crop Mutations page added Hieroglyphic with update 1.75.0 on November 7, 2026 and still shows a placeholder image for it, so there is no description yet of how a Hieroglyphic fruit looks.

What is Hieroglyphic worth?
It is a ×3 mutation, the same as Sandy or Vamp. Its real value is that selling Hieroglyphic fruit gives Anubis Coins for the event shop.
Is Hieroglyphic the same as Sandy?
No. Sandy (×3) comes from the regular Sandstorm weather and the Jackalope; Hieroglyphic comes from the Anubis Sandstorm and the Anubis Bramble, and only Hieroglyphic earns Anubis Coins.
